Silicon Valley town backs down on bid to evade housing law with ‘mountain-lion habitat’ claim

Just hours after California Atty. Gen. Rob Bonta warned Woodside officials against blocking a new state housing law by claiming the entire town was a habitat for mountain lions, the city abandoned its effort.
